Сингл «Numb» из второго студийного  альбома Meteora (2003) группы   Linkin Park  заняла   в  год   своего  выпуска   первое место   чарте Billboard Alternative Songs и не  покидал  его   в  течение  2   месяцев в  2003, а потом и в 2004 году. Это  своеобразный   рекорд, поскольку  ни  одна   другая  композиция  не  являлась   лучшей два года  подряд. Закрепляя успех, Linkin Park  совместно с   Jay-Z выпустила  ремикс «Numb/Encore», который  вошёл   в  следующий  альбом   группы. Клип   на «Numb»  вышел в 2003 году  - его  режиссёром  стал Джо Хан  (диджей Linkin Park).
